There are a great many recreational facilities available at Sun Vista RV Resort. Over the last few years the park has made a concerted effort to turn the south-west corner of the park from a sandy golf driving range into a well manicured activities centre that now includes a series of putting greens, horseshoe pits, pickle-ball courts, golf driving practice cages, bocce-ball courts, and two excellent racing tracks for radio-controlled vehicles.
The ballroom in the main recreation centre gets a great deal of use for a wide variety of activities including dances, dinners, church services, craft sales, bingo, and all sorts of entertainment. Here is a small glimpse of what goes on:
Pickle Ball has become a popular sport at Sun Vista in the last two or three years, and the park has put in 5 excellent courts, so there is almost always space to play. Check out this video:

Each year the park has an old car show. Although not a huge event, there always some interesting cars to be seen that have been meticulously restored by their dedicated owners. Here’s a short video of the January 2015 show:
Naturally there are a lot of birthdays in a park the size of Sun Vista, and although most of them pass without a lot of fanfare, some draw a little more attention. Such was the case when Garry Greenshields celebrated his birthday in February, mostly because he is the tenor drummer in a pipe band:
There is a big Radio Control Community in the area and the Yuma Aeromodellers put on a big airshow each year. This video was taken of the February 2015 show:
